An industrial fire southwest of Mansfield near Lillian sent balls of fire and plumes of smoke into the air Thursday.
The fire was reported after noon along the 12500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 917, about 2.5 miles west of Business U.S. Highway 287.
Several large balls of fire were seen bursting through the roof of the building in the industrial park.

The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services is presenting a check of more than $15,000 to Fox Valley Technical College today to give teenagers hands-on training.

Crews were called to the area of Muskego Avenue and Mitchell Street just before 3 a.m.

Authorities in southern Wisconsin rescued two people after a boat reportedly started sinking on a lake.
According to the Lake Geneva Fire Department, on June 16 around 5 p.m., crews were sent to the north shore of Lake Como for a report of a sinking boat with people in the water. Multiple agencies, vehicles and responders got to the scene.

A vacant building in northwest Atlanta caught fire late Monday afternoon, according to Atlanta fire officials.
The fire was reported at 350 Troy St. NW, near Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW. First Alert Chopper captured scenes of the massive fire, including most of the flames being put out. Atlanta fire officials said crews launched a “defensive fire attack,” which officials said is for when fire conditions prevent firefighters from getting inside a building.
