Sprinklers contained a fire at an apartment complex on the city's east side early Tuesday morning, according to the Madison Fire Department. Two boaters and a dog managed to escape unharmed Monday afternoon when a fire destroyed the boat they were on in San Francisco Bay. The fire burned the 45-foot vessel off Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City at around 1 p.m. The San Francisco Fire Department said one of its rescue boats was at the scene extinguishing the fire.

The Wautoma Fire Department is the lucky recipient of a grant from the Community Foundation of Wisconsin. The grant allowed the department to purchase white helmets for the Chief and Assistant Chiefs. Little information is currently available on a boat fire that broke out Wednesday on Shawano Lake. Viewer-submitted pictures and video show a large plume of smoke rising in the air as the vessel, which appears to be a speed boat, is completely engulfed in flames. VIDEO: The man who was trapped in the rubble of a house explosion in LaFayette before being rescued has died. The Walworth County Sheriff's Office identified him as 68-year-old Leland Holden. Investigators said he was the only person home at the time of the explosion. The Elkhorn Area Fire Department chief said his crews dug for nearly an hour to rescue a man trapped beneath the piles of debris.
