VIDEO: Authorities in Appleton say an early Wednesday morning house fire caused an estimated $350,000 in damages. According to a release from the Appleton Fire Department, crews responded at 2:49 a.m. to the 4100 block of South Woodendale Way for reports of a house on fire. Officials say the initial fire call indicated an exterior fire and upon arrival, heavy smoke was seen coming from the eaves all around the home.

Construction on the new Watertown fire station is progressing on schedule. Everyone is safe after a fire broke out at an attached garage in Janesville but a lot of damage was left behind, according to the Janesville Fire Department. Battalion Chief Josh Uecker said the fire happened Sunday at about 7:15 p.m. in the 2600 block of Doe Court. When crews arrived, they saw smoke coming from the eaves and roof of the house.
