The initial report from the first arriving Fox Crossing Fire Department units indicated a single-story, single-family home with smoke emerging from the eaves and flames visible from the rear of the house.

Little Rice Fire Department uses boat, truck for fire training

PHOTO: The Little Rice Fire Department used a fiberglass boat to practice live fire action Monday morning. The crew was made up primarily of support staff and operators, who don't usually get to attack the fires. Ingman's Service supplied the vehicles for the training. Little Rice Fire Department's new Rehab Team also participated in practical training, using a vehicle fire as the object.
