Life EMS, a West Michigan-owner provider, is anticipated to be the first emergency service organization in the nation to use Stryker's newest medical device, LIFEPAK 35, according to officials.
The device is expected to use technology that can reduce how many pauses there are during chest compressions.

VIDEO: Authorities in Appleton say an early Wednesday morning house fire caused an estimated $350,000 in damages.
According to a release from the Appleton Fire Department, crews responded at 2:49 a.m. to the 4100 block of South Woodendale Way for reports of a house on fire.
Officials say the initial fire call indicated an exterior fire and upon arrival, heavy smoke was seen coming from the eaves all around the home.

Construction on the new Watertown fire station is progressing on schedule.
