The Madison Fire Department said Saturday crews were dispatched to an apartment fire on Madison's west side, only to find that the fire had already been extinguished by a sprinkler head in the unit. The MFD said crews responded to a fire alarm report at Segoe Terrace Apartments, an 8-story building.

We have learned more details regarding a massive fire that broke out on Saturday in Jackson. As of Monday morning, the huge fire that occurred at the Mississippi Tire Recycling building located at East McDowell Road and Parcel Drive still burns. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he fired shots at fire and EMS officials and then fled from the scene in a fire vehicle. Roads have reopened and there is no longer a threat to the public after a propane leak near 4400 Sycamore Avenue Thursday afternoon. The leak was reported at 2:29 p.m. Roads reopened at 4:20 p.m. The Madison Fire Department said the leak involved a 1,000-gallon tank with a broken valve. The tank at the time had roughly 300 gallons of propane in it.

Hartford Fire & Rescue responded to Wayside Drive for the report of a tree that fell and landed on a car and a house, with downed power lines arcing and smoking. Upon arrival, firefighters found the downed power lines to be actively arcing on the house. Hartford Fire & Rescue firefighters assured that all occupants of the house had evacuated, and made entry to check for fire extension.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A logging truck flipped over in a crash that left its trailer hanging over a wall on a highway in New Hampshire on Friday morning. The southbound side of Interstate 293 near Exit 6 in Manchester was closed to traffic following the wreck, according to New Hampshire State Police.
