Three firefighters were injured while battling a warehouse fire that took nearly 100 firefighters and more than 30 firefighting tools to control.
According to Louisville Fire Department Maj. Bobby Cooper, one of the firefighters was injured after being shocked by a down power line. The firefighter was transported to the hospital and was conscious and alert, Cooper said.

The victim of yesterday’s Calhoun County kidnapping “could have been anyone,” according to Sheriff Matthew Wade.
Instead, it was a woman known to most area law enforcement and emergency workers for almost three decades as a steady, steadying presence at crime scenes and accident sites.
“She’s a super, super woman,” said Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown about Betty Cobb, 75, who was found Monday, bound with duct tape in the closet of an Anniston home hours after she was snatched from her home on Choccolocco Road in rural Calhoun County.

A Racine County man was arrested after allegedly threatening to bomb a bank in Waterford Tuesday afternoon, although authorities later reported the briefcase that supposedly carried a bomb did not actually have any explosive devices inside.
The man has not been publicly identified other than his age, 52, and that he is a Racine County resident.

One firefighter was treated on the scene and transported to a local hospital while fighting a structure fire in the area of 1124 North Baird Street.
Green Bay Metro Fire Department was dispatched to Packer City Sales at 5:05 a.m. for a structure fire that lasted two and half hours. In a report by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, when crews arrived, heavy black smoke was seen on the east side of the structure.

July 4 marked the 150th anniversary of Dallas Fire-Rescue.
On Monday morning at the Dallas Firefighter's Museum, DFR held a sesquicentennial appreciation block party.
One-hundred and fifty years ago, in 1872, one unit of volunteer firefighters was recognized by the City of Dallas. The department has since grown to 2,000 members with 58 fire stations.

A southside family was able to escape a destructive house fire that swept through three homes along 20th and Grant. The family is now asking for the community's help.
The victim, Brittany Rozewicz, shared that her home was declared a total loss after the blaze ripped through on June 26.

Six people are displaced after a fire Sunday night, that the Fire Marshal says was caused by the improper disposal of fireworks.

Fireworks played a role in a late-night fire that tore through a warehouse on Madison’s south side and destroyed the building, according to the city’s fire department.
Madison Fire Chief Chris Carbon indicated fireworks likely sparked the blaze while MFD’s initial report added the flammable items inside the warehouse helped it spread.

At 8:42 p.m. July 1, the La Crosse Fire Department was dispatched to Grandad Bluff Road for a report of a hiker who had fallen — the drop was determined to be around 40 feet — and sustained injuries.

Ahead of Fourth of July weekend, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds the public that fireworks are prohibited on DNR-managed lands.
These restricted areas include state parks, forests and state-owned public hunting and fishing areas, according to Wisconsin DNR.
In Wisconsin, fireworks are also regulated and in order to legally use them, patrons must obtain a permit, depending on the type of firework that is being used.

With a wall of flames blocking the front door, Eli Hessler and his 14-year-old daughter safely fled their burning home at Broad and First streets when a massive fire broke out about 2 p.m. Thursday.
Hessler’s wife, Steph, and the couple’s two other children were not home at the time.
Hessler and his family were heartbroken that their three dogs perished in the multiple-alarm blaze that sent up columns of smoke that could be seen six miles away.

When Denton firefighter Gary Weiland, 42, had his left leg amputated in 2018, he worried whether he could still be an example of strength for his children.
