A man is injured after a home explosion in Glendale.
Firefighters used high-powered streams to knock down unstable parts of the house here in the 5600 block of North Sievers Place, which they say is a total loss.
Neighbors say it started with a big boom.
They say at first they thought it was a tree falling over -- then they saw flames.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department has given an update on the fire that took place on the 2800 Block of Conesta Drive in the Village of Bellevue.
According to Lieutenant Shauna Walesh, a little after 11:15 a.m., the Green Bay Metro Fire Department received a call for a structure fire with smoke from the attic area.

Although a majority of central Wisconsin has seen quite a bit of rainfall over the past week, much of the area is still seeing a high fire risk due to the dry climate.
When land and vegetation become dry, fire and heat can spread much more quickly, causing fires to burn out of control.
Jerry Minor, the Pittsville Fire Chief, says wildfires are the most common type of fire they respond to during the dry season.

A fire at a home in Janesville forced three people to evacuate.
The City of Janesville Fire Department responded to a home on South River Road early Friday morning around 2 a.m. where they immediately spotted a couch that was on fire.
Engine 812 reportedly saw heavy fire. Nineteen firefighters got the fire under control quickly, managing to keep it contained to the first floor.

The US Coast Guard’s Toledo Marine Safety Unit responded to a massive fire at the Son Rise Marina in Sandusky on Thursday.
According to the Coast Guard’s Great Lakes division, they responded to a pollution threat caused by the fire.
Officials said multiple boats went up in flames. The Coast Guard said it is working with port partners to mitigate environmental impacts and to oversee the removal of the boats.

A report of a bomb threat Thursday afternoon at Dodge City Community College is the latest among similar threats made to campuses across the U.S., investigators confirmed. On the all reporting a bomb in the Arts classroom at Dodge City Community College, no suspicious device was located.
The Dodge City Police Department said the call said the bomb was located at the back of a classroom and that it would detonate in a little more than one hour.

Sun Prairie Fire & Rescue Company will be holding a remembrance ceremony on July 10 to honor those who responded to a gas leak and explosion in the city in 2018.

Fire destroyed a barn in the town of Oconto on July 4.
The fire in the 2700 block of Sherman Road, about 2 miles northeast of the city, was reported about 6:37 a.m. by an occupant of camper parked near the barn.
The person had been awakened by the sound of ash hitting the top of his camper, said Oconto Fire-Rescue Lt.

A fireworks explosion in front of a suburban home during the July Fourth holiday that caused young children and adults to flee was caught on security video.
The blast occurred during a celebration as they were attempting to light fireworks on a front lawn. As the fireworks light up, a blast is seen going in all directions, prompting adults to grab the children and move for cover.

Goshen Township Administrator Steve Pegram held a press conference Thursday after a tornado touched down Wednesday, damaging multiple buildings and knocking down trees.

Five people, including two children, were driven from their Beloit home when a lightning strike during the overnight storms set it on fire, the American Red Cross reported.
