Boston graduates its largest class ever of firefighter recruits

PHOTOS: The largest class ever of Boston firefighters, including one woman, graduated on Friday at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The class of 90 recruits come from neighborhoods throughout Boston, and they will be stationed at firehouses around the city. “You can always count on the Boston Fire Department to show up, no matter what the circumstances are — a fire, a medical (call) or just a public service call,” said Marc Sanders, a Boston Fire Department spokesman.

Florida college paramedic instructor celebrates milestone anniversary of exclusive program

For 25 years, students who have gone through Polk State College’s Paramedic Program have received a certification offered by no other paramedic program in the state. Historic Grantsburg Fire Station bell has a new home

Worker injured at Milwaukee construction site

A worker was injured Thursday afternoon at a construction site near the Milwaukee lakefront. The Milwaukee Fire Department confirmed it was called to the 900 block of East Michigan Street for a person injured. Crews used a basket to lift the construction worker out of the site and then took the person to an area hospital.

Indiana fire department now responsible for beach safety

Firefighters rescue group filming reality show on Arizona mountain; 3 hospitalized

Firefighters respond to 2-alarm fire at Ruby's Bagels in Oak Creek

'Need to be more proactive': Kentucky first responder says new law is step in right direction

Texas EMS to teach Guam EMTs life support techniques this summer

A sacrifice honored: New York remembers firefighter who died 100 years ago in school blaze
