Multiple agencies fight structure fire at UW Agricultural Research Station in Arlington

VIDEO: Deforest Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon to reports of a barn on fire at the Arlington Research Station and multiple other local fire departments followed quickly to assist, UW Police said. DeForest Fire crews were dispatched around 4 p.m. and more than a dozen agencies responded to the fire total.

Over a dozen emergency crews respond to Door County fire

Over a dozen emergency crews assisted with a Door County house fire Sunday. The Egg Harbor Fire Department said crews responded to a grass fire that spread to a home at 6072 Windsong Bluff Drive around 10 a.m. Firefighters saw flames coming from the second story of the home. “Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack until water supply ran low,” Chief Justin MacDonald posted on social media.

VIDEO: Fire destroys 7 homes under construction in Texas

Fire destroyed several homes that were under construction and threatened at least one that was occupied in a McKinney neighborhood Saturday evening. Firefighters are still putting out hot spots in the Wilmeth Ridge development on Marigold Drive, northwest of Lake Forest Drive and Highway 380. Video shared with FOX 4 showed thick black smoke rising from the seven homes that were under construction.

City unveils mural honoring Ohio fire department

VIDEO: Dayton Firefighters held an open house to unveil a mural celebrating the history of the fire department Sunday afternoon. Those in attendance enjoyed the food and were able to check out vintage and modern firefighter equipment. The star of the show was the mural commissioned by the firefighters union, Local 136.

Boston graduates its largest class ever of firefighter recruits

PHOTOS: The largest class ever of Boston firefighters, including one woman, graduated on Friday at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The class of 90 recruits come from neighborhoods throughout Boston, and they will be stationed at firehouses around the city. “You can always count on the Boston Fire Department to show up, no matter what the circumstances are — a fire, a medical (call) or just a public service call,” said Marc Sanders, a Boston Fire Department spokesman.

Florida college paramedic instructor celebrates milestone anniversary of exclusive program

Historic Grantsburg Fire Station bell has a new home

The Grantsburg Rural Fire Association continues to make improvements to their fire station property, and last week completed the installation of a unique piece of local firefighting history, that also has a bit of a sad tale behind it. Worker injured at Milwaukee construction site

A worker was injured Thursday afternoon at a construction site near the Milwaukee lakefront. The Milwaukee Fire Department confirmed it was called to the 900 block of East Michigan Street for a person injured. Crews used a basket to lift the construction worker out of the site and then took the person to an area hospital.

Suspect fires multiple rounds, throws incendiary device during standoff in Texas, officials say

Indiana fire department now responsible for beach safety

VIDEO/PHOTOS: So far this year there have been nearly four dozen drownings on the Great Lakes. 19 of them on Lake Michigan. From their perch at the entrance to the beach, lifeguards span the lake Michigan shoreline, keeping an eye out for trouble. It's something they’re trained to do. Firefighters rescue group filming reality show on Arizona mountain; 3 hospitalized

VIDEO: A group of hikers from out of town had to be rescued on Camelback Mountain’s Echo Canyon trail on Thursday. Firefighters said a large group from a women’s retreat began hiking the trail around 7 a.m. with each person only having one small bottle of water. The heat became too much for them around noon so they called rescuers.

Firefighters respond to 2-alarm fire at Ruby's Bagels in Oak Creek

VIDEO: Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at Ruby's Bagels on Rawson Avenue in Oak Creek Wednesday evening, June 22. A firefighter suffered a minor injury, and two people were evaluated for smoke inhalation, Oak Creek fire officials said. The first crews on the scene around 4:30 p.m. reported smoke coming from the roof and started attacking the fire from the inside of the building.

2 separate fires in Racine; 10 displaced
