A Sun Prairie resident was badly burned during an overnight kitchen fire, according to the Sun Prairie Fire Department.
Fire officials said they were called to the 200 block of Foxdale Drive just before 1 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a building fire.
When crews arrived to the multi-family building, they learned a kitchen fire happened in one of the units.

A fire at an apartment building on Madison's southwest side Wednesday afternoon left two dogs dead and three people displaced, the city's fire department said.
The fire was reported in the 2300 block of Carling Drive around 1:50 p.m. Madison Fire Department spokesperson Cynthia Schuster said firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames in a unit in the building.

One person is dead, two are unaccounted for and several others are hospitalized following a massive fire that consumed a rooming house in New Bedford on Tuesday afternoon.

A Madison man was arrested in Boston Tuesday on charges connected to the firebombing of a Madison anti-abortion office building in May of 2022.
Hridndu Sankar Roychowdhury, 29, is charged with one count of attempting to cause damage by means of fire or an explosive, according to court documents. Early in the morning of May 8, 2022, two Molotov cocktails were thrown into the Wisconsin Family Action building, in the 2800 block of International Lane, Madison Police previously stated.

A Soundview house fire has left multiple families without a home overnight, officials say.
Firefighters responded to the house fire on Rosedale Avenue at around 11 p.m. Monday.
The owners of the home lived there since 2017 and included three brothers and their parents who lived on the second floor and another family downstairs who rented the space.

Traditionally, firefighters worked 24 hours in a row, and then they would get 48 hours off. So, you would work one day and then have two days off.
