One person is dead after a fire fully engulfed a home in Richland County, officials reported Thursday. A neighbor of the home on the 20000 block of Tuckaway Valley Road in Richland Center called officials Wednesday to report the fire, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office. Responding deputies observed the home was in flames and collapsed.

Special training was held in Green Bay to help make area schools safer. The state's Office of School Safety held threat assessment training at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Thursday. A raging blaze tore through a cluster of businesses in downtown Lawrence early Friday morning, destroying a liquor store and a bakery. People who live in a home in Suamico escaped without injury after a car crashed into their house late Wednesday night. It was the third time a vehicle crashed into their home. Suamico first responders say an SUV went off the road and struck the home on the 1400-block of Riverside Dr. just before midnight.

A drone was used to spray water on a downtown Oswego building that was on fire for almost two hours Wednesday, firefighters said. At 3:11 a.m. firefighters arrived at 39 West Bridge St. to find a fire at the back of the second-story apartment building, according to a news release from the City of Oswego Fire Department.
