A fire Sunday night damaged a portion of Banbury Place, firefighters say.
According to the Eau Claire Fire Department:
The fire at American Phoenix was reported at 8:37 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find the fire within an exhaust and chimney system near the American Phoenix business. The exhaust system runs from the street level to the five-story roof.

VIDEO: A fatal fire at a Monona apartment complex is under control after multiple agencies responded early Saturday morning.
Monona Fire Department said crews found one person dead after the fire, though the cause of death has not been identified yet.

Jeff Rothmeier, a Milwaukee firefighter, fell off a ladder while fighting a fire Saturday night near 80th Street and Oklahoma Avenue.
Rothmeier was taken to Froedtert Hospital for a severe concussion, a spinal fracture, and ten broken ribs. The Family told WISN 12 News Rothmeier's daughter is scheduled to have major surgery to remove her kidney this week in Minnesota.

Dozens of residents at a Palatine apartment complex were displaced by a massive fire that tore through multiple buildings Sunday, authorities said.
The fire was reported at around 5:17 p.m. at a building located on East Dundee Quarter Drive in the Windhaven Condominium Complex.
Video from an NBC 5 photographer showed flames and smoke pouring from the roof of one building as firefighters worked from a ladder truck above, spraying water on the structure.

VIDEO: Two firefighters are in the hospital after their ambulance was T-boned in a hit-and-run crash Monday morning, according to Houston police.
It happened just after 3 a.m. in north Houston along Airline Drive and Parker Road.
According to police, the ambulance was returning to the station when the driver of a Chevy Avalanche slammed into the ambulance and drove off.

Mayor Eric Adams will sign five bills into law on Monday, aimed at preventing fires caused by lithium-ion batteries.
Over the weekend, a man died in an apartment fire in the Bronx that investigators say was caused by a lithium-ion battery.
The FDNY says the batteries have caused 33 fires across New York City this year.

A fire at a Bellevue duplex is under investigation after four people were displaced as a result.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews were called to the 2200 block of Allouez Avenue around 4 p.m. on March 18. When crews arrived, smoke was found in the attic space and some smoke was spotted on the second floor of a side-by-side, two-story duplex.

Officials say no one was hurt after a fire at the De Pere Foundry.
The fire department was called to the foundry on S. 6th St. after reports of an explosion and a possible fire on Thursday.
Firefighters arrived to smoke coming from the roof but said there were no signs of an explosion. Crews say employees at the foundry were trying to put out the fire with fire extinguishers.

The Beaver Dam Fire Department is the recipient of a $1,000 grant. The money comes from the Community Giving Program Grant from Alliant Energy and the Alliant Energy Foundation.
Fire Chief Michael Wesle says the grant will be used to purchase two multi-gas detectors. He adds that those detectors will be utilized by the fire department’s Technical Rescue Team.

The Madison Fire Department says a rise in fires attributed to lithium-ion batteries is a growing cause of concern around the U.S. and is pushing for better education on the devices to try and prevent fires.
