11 people have been hospitalized amid a 3-alarm apartment fire in Detroit. The incident happened at a 5-story apartment building on La Salle Blvd. Fire crews have been battling this fire since at least 3:30 a.m. The fire was still active at 6:25 a.m. Friday and at around 7 a.m., crews were finally able to get the flames under control.

VIDEO: Firefighters in Fire Station 5 helped rescue the California Highway Patrol officer hit by an active shooter Thursday afternoon in Roseville.
The shooting happened outside the front doors of Station 5.
Firefighters heard the shots and put on their tactical gear to find the officer and bring that officer back into the station to start treating them.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is reminding people to properly dispose of smoking materials after a fire caused $25,000 damage to a house on Weise St. Thursday morning.

A woman is dead after a house fire on 20th Street in the town of Wheaton on Wednesday.
According to Wheaton Fire & Rescue, they first received a report for a medical alarm, but then the alarm company said it might actually be a fire as they could hear the smoke alarm and someone saying the word fire.

A massive two-alarm fire destroyed a former Elks Lodge in northeast Portland early Thursday morning.
The fire started at about 2 a.m. at a building on Northeast 100th Avenue, near Northeast Irving Street. PF&R said crews are very familiar with this building as there have been multiple fires at the building over the past few years.

Firefighters are asking for help from the community with clearing fire hydrants of snow in case of an emergency. The Kaysville City Fire Department has been spreading the word for months with humorous posts, hoping to bring more attention to the message.

John Tulachka is a busy guy.
He not only serves full-time as public works director for the village of Mishicot, but also volunteers as a firefighter for both the Mishicot and Tisch Mills fire departments.

The City of Milwaukee, along with local officials, will be hosting a press conference Tuesday after 17 people in Milwaukee County died from an overdose since Saturday.
