Indiana fire department recovering after tornado

Injured Kentucky officer, former firefighter 'ran towards the gunfire' to save lives during mass shooting

Texas fire-rescue implements new measures to improve mental health among firefighters

Onalaska Fire Chief retiring in May

Onalaska Fire Chief Troy Gudie will retire after 34 years, the City of Onalaska announced Monday. Gudie started as a volunteer in 1989 before being hired on full-time in 1993. He eventually served 17 years as the Assistant Chief and was promoted to Fire Chief in 2020. Gudie says two accomplishments that stand out over the years were the implementation of a local high school Fire and EMS Academy with Western Technical College and reaching an agreement to provide fire services for the entire Town of Onalaska.

Two Pennsylvania volunteer firefighters become bonded through kidney donation

Measures to spotlight health risks from PFAS in firefighter gear close to becoming Indiana law

Appleton firefighter beats cancer, fire department announces

Fire crews respond to structure fire in Stockton

Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in Stockton on Thursday night. It's at County Road K and Rolling Hills Road. A firefighter on scene said it's a metal structure with three vehicles inside and a propane tank nearby the structure. One firefighter was treated for exhaustion.
