Explosion inside Colorado garage sends firefighters, garage door flying

VIDEO: An explosion, early Tuesday morning, rocked a garage in Erie while firefighters were inside. It was so powerful, it completely blew off the garage door. Fire officials have issued a warning about electric vehicles and electric modifications at your home. A total of three Mountain View Fire Rescue firefighters were inside the garage when water made contact with the electric vehicle’s battery, officials said, causing that explosion.

VIDEO: Massive fire on Milwaukee's south side damages 4 homes

PHOTOS: Fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire that damaged four homes near 19th and Burnham in Milwaukee Wednesday afternoon. According to the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD), three of the homes are a complete loss. The other home has significant damage but is still standing. No injuries were reported.

On the way to the scene, an Action 2 News crew reported being able to see heavy smoke billowing into the air from the highway. The fire appears to be affecting several buildings on farm property.

Indiana fire department recovering after tornado

Injured Kentucky officer, former firefighter 'ran towards the gunfire' to save lives during mass shooting

Texas fire-rescue implements new measures to improve mental health among firefighters

Onalaska Fire Chief retiring in May

Onalaska Fire Chief Troy Gudie will retire after 34 years, the City of Onalaska announced Monday. Gudie started as a volunteer in 1989 before being hired on full-time in 1993. He eventually served 17 years as the Assistant Chief and was promoted to Fire Chief in 2020. Gudie says two accomplishments that stand out over the years were the implementation of a local high school Fire and EMS Academy with Western Technical College and reaching an agreement to provide fire services for the entire Town of Onalaska.

Two Pennsylvania volunteer firefighters become bonded through kidney donation
