VIDEO: A firefighter took a fall but is going to be OK during a response to a house fire near 29th and Scott in Milwaukee Thursday morning.
According to Milwaukee Fire Dept. officials at the scene, it was a "close call" but that the firefighter will be OK.
They responded around 9:30 a.m. Thursday to find a large fire in a two-and-a-half-story building.

The death was separate from the fire.
The fire started around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at a home at 4663 Baxter Road.
Lt. Jason Kudrna with the Cottage Grove Fire Department confirmed Wednesday evening the house is a total loss.

Fire officials said firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor of the two-story home. When they were searching the second floor, they found a 60-year-old Milwaukee man dead.

A barn caught fire Monday morning in Rosholt.
It sparked a huge local response from firefighters, with more than 100 firefighters and 50 rigs showed up, as well as departments from all across the state when the five-alarm fire was issued.

Five years ago on Tuesday, a massive fire gutted a grocery store in north Phoenix, covering homes in ash. VIDEO: A Chicago Fire Department firetruck flipped on its side after colliding with a car on the South Side Tuesday night.
The crash occurred at about 11:25 p.m. in the 300-block of East 79th Street, police said.
Police said a vehicle ran a red light and struck the firetruck, causing the fire truck to flip on its side.

PHOTOS: More than a dozen homes have been evacuated in Rolling Hills Estates, California, after the ground shifted, causing extensive damage, city and Los Angeles County officials said.

Smoke was coming from the front windows when the Kiel Fire Department was dispatched to a house on E. Chicago St. Monday afternoon.
Firefighters grabbed hose lines and found the room where the fire was burning. They had the fire out in 3 minutes of arriving shortly before 4:30.

A fire at a Paramount commercial building burned for four hours early Monday, but firefighters prevented flames from spreading to nearby businesses.
The fire was reported around 12:30 a.m. in a 40,000-square-foot building in the 7500 block of East Rosecrans Avenue. Firefighters took up positions outside the burning building as flames shot through the roof and a large cloud of black smoke formed over the southern Los Angeles County community.
