The Beaver Dam Fire Department has announced that the city and the Beaver Dam Community Fire and Rescue Association have amended their agreement for fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. The city and Associatoin have a long history of working together to provide essential emergency services to the townships of Beaver Dam, Calamus, Lowell, Trenton, and Westford.

Officials say southside Fire Station 17, along with its engine company, was closed in 2020 because of budget cuts. Fire Chief Aaron Lipski has said in the past that his department is stretched thin. Authorities say one cat was rescued Sunday Morning from a De Pere apartment fire that caused an estimated $50,000 in damages and sent six people to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. A tanker truck overturned on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, erupting into a ball of flames. It happened around 5:40 a.m. Monday on Route 17 South not far from Teterboro Airport. The tanker and another car got into a crash, but amazingly, both drivers were able to escape their vehicles. The tanker plowed into a used car dealership, causing it to catch fire.
