22 assisted living residents are without a home after a fire broke out at North Crest Assisted Living Wednesday night. Fire officials say the call came out at around 10:45 p.m. They arrived on scene to see smoke coming from the roof of the building.
Stevens Point Fire Department Battalion Chief Jared Hopfensperger told NewsChannel 7 that he was the first to arrive on scene, and decided to update the call because he could see and smell smoke.

Columbia County officials rescued a snowmobiler who fell through ice over the weekend on Lake Wisconsin.
A caller reported to Columbia County dispatch around 11 a.m. Sunday that two snowmobiles fell through the lake in Sunset Bay, noting one person was in the water and another person was still on the ice.
