Myrtle Beach Fire Department one of highest paid in South Carolina after budget adjustment

Large investments made in Illinois to research cancer in firefighters

The Baltimore City spending board approved a new program Wednesday aimed at solving the city's emergency medical services shortage. Baltimore City Fire Chief James Wallace said the city is down 80 EMS providers, and that number has increased. The fire started just before 7 a.m. Wednesday at a huge commercial building off Buena Vista Street near South Comal Street. Aerial footage shows the building fully engulfed in flames with the roof and several walls collapsing.

Fire truck crashes in Illinois, no serious injuries reported

VIDEO: Three Belleville firefighters were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after their fire truck was involved in a crash and flipped onto its side. It all happened at Route 161 and Carlyle Avenue, right by Belleville East High School. The good news is that nobody was seriously hurt. The bad news is that there is significant damage to both the fire truck and the Toyota 4Runner, which was also involved in the crash.

Beaver Dam Fire Department Amends Joint Contract For Rural Fire, Rescue And Emergency Medical Services

Truck crashes into Regency Inn & Suites in Eau Claire, 1 person injured

Florida fire department tells its story through upcoming documentary series

Storm causes damage to volunteer fire station in Louisiana

‘I’d like to make a top 3 finish’: New York first responder to compete for World’s Strongest Firefighter

One Firefighter from Niagara Falls is spending his winter training to take on the World’s Strongest Firefighter competition in March. Niagara Falls Firefighter Paul Emmick has been training as a power lifter and now a strongman for 20 years. “I feel so much stronger in my core, my lower back and my hips from doing these types of movements,” Paul said.
