California: Historical 1930s fire truck restored by Folsom inmates, returned to San Francisco

Rising to its former glory, the 1939 apparatus featured in the World's Fair spent decades serving the city of San Francisco. Health care tax break awaits more retired first responders in Illinois, across U.S.

Electrical fire in the Town of Brussels thwarted thanks to quick action

Thanks to the quick action of the homeowners, damage caused by an electrical fire in the Town of Brussels was limited to just the basement. The Brussels-Union-Gardner Fire Department was called to a home on Misere Road at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday after the homeowners heard a loud noise from the basement and noticed it slowly filling up with smoke.

Waukesha firefighters use saw to free man's hand stuck in snowblower

VIDEO: Waukesha first responders had to use a saw to free a man's hand stuck in a snowblower. It happened at a home near Greenfield and Racine avenues at the height of Tuesday's storm. "He's 34 years of age. Got his hand stuck in a snowblower," someone can be heard saying over the dispatch radio. "Three fingers are definitely stuck in there.

Myrtle Beach Fire Department one of highest paid in South Carolina after budget adjustment

Large investments made in Illinois to research cancer in firefighters

Baltimore City Fire Chief James Wallace said the city is down 80 EMS providers, and that number has increased. Fire truck crashes in Illinois, no serious injuries reported

VIDEO: Three Belleville firefighters were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after their fire truck was involved in a crash and flipped onto its side. It all happened at Route 161 and Carlyle Avenue, right by Belleville East High School. The good news is that nobody was seriously hurt. The bad news is that there is significant damage to both the fire truck and the Toyota 4Runner, which was also involved in the crash.

Coast Guard previews public hearing on deadly 2023 cargo ship fire in New Jersey
