Washington fire department adds new emergency medical system for sick and injured children

The Spokane Fire Department is implementing a new way to care for sick and injured children. SFD has partnered with Handtevy, a company that specializes in EMS pediatric technology, to create a new emergency medical care system for kids. It offers a pediatric resuscitation system and a mobile application to reduce the stress that comes with pediatric medical emergencies.

Massachusetts Firefighters Will Cut Up A Brand New Volvo XC40 Recharge In The Name Of Safety

Madison Police investigate ‘arson and vandalism’ at office of pro-life organization

Madison Police are investigating what they believe was targeted arson and vandalism on the city’s north side. It happened at the office of Family Action Wisconsin, which is a non-profit that supports anti-abortion measures. Police say they believe someone threw a molotov cocktail into the office window Sunday morning, but it didn’t ignite.

4 people die in Monroe County house fire

PHOTOS: Four people are dead after a house fire in rural Monroe County Thursday evening. The Sparta Area Fire District said they went to a call of a reported structure fire on Backtrail Road in the Town of Little Falls east of Melrose at 9:09 p.m. Thursday. According to the Fire District in a release, the report was that a house was on fire with people trapped upstairs and unable to get out.

Sharon Purifoy-Smoots becomes the first Black female to achieve rank of assistant chief in the Milwaukee Fire Department

Sharon Purifoy-Smoots became the first Black female to be promoted to assistant chief of the Milwaukee Fire Department on Thursday. The promotion continues an already trailblazing career for the 19-year department veteran. In 2020, she became the first Black female to be named deputy chief at the department.

Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency Services responds to structure fire, no one hurt

Fire Takes Toll On Firefighters In New York; Three Receive Narcan

Fireboat 'Tommy' finds new home at the Fire Museum of Maryland

Watertown finds its new fire chief

Watertown officials announced Wednesday that Travis Teesch will be the city’s new chief of fire and emergency operations, replacing Kraig Biefeld, who retired Monday. Teesch comes to Watertown from his former position as assistant fire chief in Kaukauna, where he served since August of 1999. The amount of Teesch’s pay is still being negotiated, according to Watertown Mayor Emily McFarland, and is expected to be approved Monday at a meeting of the city’s finance committee.

Vehicle fire blocks lane of eastbound interstate near Poynette

The right lane of eastbound Interstate 39/90/94 is blocked near County Highway CS in Columbia County due to a vehicle fire Wednesday night, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Surviving firefighter of deadly Maryland building collapse honors his fallen colleagues

Three workers rescued in South Boston construction site collapse

VIDEO: Three workers were injured in a collapse at a construction site in South Boston. Boston Fire Commissioner Jack Dempsey said emergency crews were called to the Edison Power Plant building around 1:40 p.m. Two of the injured workers were able to be removed immediately. A third person was trapped, prompting a rescue operation with about 100 firefighters in support roles, Dempsey said.
