A Racine family is counting their blessings after a fire tore through their home Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Trinity Kornas loves playing with her eight brothers and sisters. Wednesday, that love of fun might have saved her family, when her little brother asked her to check out his toy.
"If I hadn’t have looked at his bubbles," Trinity Kornas said, "I wouldn’t realize there was a fire in my mom and dad’s bedroom.

Reedsburg area fire departments worked for over 10 hours Wednesday to extinguish fires that engulfed two large sheds with massive amounts of hay in them, according to Reedsburg Fire Chief Craig Douglas.
No injuries were reported.
The fires were reported at 1:05 p.m. at S3474 Thieman Hill Road in the Town of Reedsburg.

A luxury yacht carrying nearly 1,000 rounds of ammunition and fireworks caught fire shortly before capsizing in the Marina del Rey harbor on Wednesday evening. Two people were on board the 100-foot yacht when the fire ignited, but both were able to get off safely.

A fire at Jefferson East Elementary School early Tuesday morning meant no classes for students.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said a fire started in the basement of the school. The Jefferson Fire Department said the first floor of the school had heavy smoke damage.
"The fire is in the generator room, so there's an emergency generator for this building, backup power, and the fire was clearly in and around the generator," said Jefferson Fire Chief Ron Wegner.

Buffalo Firefighter's responded to a two-alarm fire on Buffalo's west side early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to Pooley Place just around 4:30am for a report of a fire at 62-64 Pooley Pl. The duplex was fully engulfed in flames and quickly spread to neighboring houses.
Two civilians and two firefighters were injured, but none of their injuries are life threatening.

VIDEO: After months of negotiations, the City of San Antonio and the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association (SAPFA) have struck a deal on a new collective bargaining contract.
