Fire Prevention Week Activities in Allenton

The Allenton Fire Department is kicking off Fire Prevention Week with many community activities promoting fire safety October 6 – 12. This year’s national theme is Smoke alarms, make them work. Friday morning department personnel will be visiting the Allenton Elementary School, starting at 9 a.m. The morning will involve fire prevention demonstrations, giving tours of some of the apparatus, and giving each youngster a gift bag filled with fire prevention educational material.

Wisconsin in drought, raising fire danger

Eight counties in Wisconsin are now in a severe drought, while much of the rest of the state is in a moderate drought. We’ve been following the dry conditions all week on Action 2 News This Morning. The dry conditions are also leading to an increased fire danger. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says most of the state has a moderate fire risk Friday while some counties in Northeast Wisconsin are at a high risk, including Menominee, Shawano, Oconto, and Marinette.

VIDEO: Officials investigate after multiple cars catch fire inside Massachusetts police impound lot

Barnstable Firefighters and Barnstable Police responded to a fully involved vehicle fire that spread to a number of other vehicles early this morning. At around 3:35 a.m., crews responded to an impound lot located at 178 Thornton Drive. The fire was rapidly spreading to other vehicles when HN arrived on scene.

Retired Baltimore firefighter who survived building collapse shares lifesaving breathing technique at Florida fire expo

He said a simple technique saved him, and now it’s just one of several lifesaving lessons local firefighters are learning. National Fire Sprinkler Association Responds to BioLab Fire in Georgia

On September 29th, according to the Rockdale County Fire Chief Marian McDonald a fire began on the roof of BioLab, a manufacturer of pool and spa products in Conyers, GA. In the seven years she’s been on the job, this is the third incident of fire there. During a September 29th news conference, the County Emergency Management Agency made a statement that the fire was caused by “a malfunctioning sprinkler head”.

Waupun Fire Department to Celebrate 150th Anniversary

Busy street closed as Milwaukee firefighters battle large fire

VIDEO: Milwaukee firefighters are at the scene of a large house fire near 27th Street and Lisbon Avenue. The fire started just before 6 a.m. on Thursday and police shut down 27th St. in the area and part of Lisbon Ave. Flames could be seen shooting from the roof and windows of the home as crews battled the flames from the outside.

Town of Campbell Fire Chief Offers Updates on La Crosse County fire

VIDEO: The Campbell Fire Department shared more information on the massive fire that burned through a La Crosse County scrapyard. The fire started around 1:30 Tuesday morning (10/1/24) at Omaha Track on Bainbridge Street on French Island. Town of Campbell Fire Chief Nate Melby says crews were finally able to clear the scene just before 11 pm last night, with the fire response lasting approximately 21 and a half hours.
