A Green Bay homeowner was alerted by her neighbors on Sunday that her garage was on fire. Just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to a garage fire in the 1400 block of Farlin Avenue. At the scene they found an attached garage with smoke coming out of it. The owner of the home wasn’t aware that there was a fire until her neighbors alerted her to it.

At least nine people were injured in a four-alarm fire that swept across a cluster of buildings in Brooklyn late Monday night, according to the FDNY. The fire broke out at a building on Dean Street between Mother Gaston Boulevard and Sackman Street around 10:40 p.m. Over 160 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene, per fire officials.

VIDEO: Over 75 million Americans are being urged to take proper precautions as temperatures could top 100 degrees in parts of the Midwest on Tuesday. Near the end of an April workday in 2022, the Virginia International Raceway fire and rescue team was notified that a racecar driver had fallen and hit his head just after getting out of his vehicle. An area fire department has a new resource thanks to some generous donors. It's an eye in the sky, a drone for the Grand Rapids Fire Department, and it was completely donor funded. It's a game changer for area fire departments. "If we have a wildfire, we can tell em where the hotspots are and he can tell em on the screen as its happening oh yeah send a crew over there," said John Fawley, Firefighter/EMS and Drone Pilot.

The Cedarburg Fire Department has announced the promotion of Blake Karnitz to the rank of captain. After joining the department in 2010, Karnitz first took on the role of assistant training officer in 2013. He was hired to his full-time position as fire inspector in 2017. In addition to being a state certified fire inspector, Karnitz is an advanced EMT and earned the rank of rescue lieutenant in 2019.

PHOTOS: A fire broke out at a boat anchored to a Wildwood, NJ, fuel dock that had the fire department working on the scene for three and a half hours. Firefighters were dispatched to a 42-foot vessel engulfed in flames, and the fire partially spread to the dock. The boat eventually sank from the large amount of water used to put out the fire, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
