Fallen Grand Rapids firefighter honored by nonprofit, loved ones through honor chair

Business Space Damaged By Fire And Smoke In Brookfield

A commercial building in Brookfield sustained significant damage to its garage and smoke damage throughout after a fire broke out Tuesday evening, according to the Brookfield Fire Department. Firefighters found the single-story, medium-sized building in the 12000 block of Townsend Street with smoke inside, so they started an aggressive attack on the fire, ventilated the blaze, and performed search and rescue of the building, according to a news release.

Wausau Fire Department in early talks about new station

VIDEO: The Wausau Fire Department is asking the city’s finance committee to approve the purchase of an abandoned lot at 811 and 815 Grand Avenue in order to potentially build a new central station. New fire truck at Florida airport designed to fight fires from inside aircraft

Brookfield commercial building fire extinguished; firefighter suffers minor injury

Firefighters on Tuesday night, Aug. 22 responded to the scene of a commercial building fire near 124th and Townsend in Brookfield. Around 7:40 p.m. the Waukesha County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting smoke in the building. Occupants inside the building were alerted to the fire and exited prior to the fire department’s arrival.

Brown County officials look at solutions for home hit by vehicles three times
