Three fire departments were called to fight a fire at a catering business in Bellevue on Monday. They were dispatched at 2:45 p.m. Monday to Biebel’s, 1234 Bellevue Street, where firefighters found light smoke coming from a utility/wash room. Crews found the fire in a bin of towels. They removed the towels from the building and put out the flames in the parking lot.

A mom was able to get her child unbuckled from the back seat of their car Sunday morning before it went up in flames on Northport Drive, according to a release. The woman was driving a 2008 Chrysler 300 with a man down Northport Drive just before noon when they heard some crackling coming from the trunk of the car, officials said.

One dog perished in an apartment fire in Juneau on Sunday afternoon. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. to 214 N. Main Street for a fire in the upper apartment of a duplex.
