Two people escaped a house fire in the town of Albion Monday morning, according to the Lakeside Fire-Rescue chief. Chief Randall Pickering told 27 News a passerby saw the fire on the 1400-block of County Highway A, just north of Edgerton, and called 911 shortly after 7 a.m. Pickering said a father and son were home when the fire started.

Rick Walters is the Town of Texas fire chief and said the barn was fully engulfed in flames upon the arrival of firefighters. Around 12:30 in the afternoon, there was still smoke billowing from the barn as well as some small remaining flames, but Walters said the fire had been contained and that there was no concern of it spreading.
