The History Channel will remember 9/11 on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack with four new documentaries.
Joining History’s 9/11 20th anniversary programming slate are 9/11: The Legacy, Rise And Fall: The World Trade Center, 9/11: Four Flights and 9/11: I Was There. The seven hours’ worth of documentaries will provide a sweeping recollection of the historical event, providing audiences with accounts from America’s children, first responders and more.

The U.S. government has opened a formal investigation into Tesla’s Autopilot partially automated driving system after a series of collisions with parked emergency vehicles.
The investigation covers 765,000 vehicles, almost everything that Tesla has sold in the U.S. since the start of the 2014 model year.

A building that used to house the Centerville Curling Club is a total loss after a fire on Sunday night.

A tribute is growing in honor of a 26-year-old Burlington firefighter who died after suffering a medical emergency while fighting a fire in New Hartford last week.
Colin McFadden, a member of the Burlington Volunteer Fire Department, was one of the many firefighters who responded to help put out a massive fire at the historic New Hartford House in New Hartford last week when he suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to John Dempsey Hospital for emergency surgery.

Five states broke records for the average number of daily new COVID cases over the weekend as the delta variant strains hospital systems across the U.S. and forces many states to reinstate public health restrictions.
Florida, Louisiana, Hawaii, Oregon and Mississippi all reached new peaks in their seven-day average of new cases per day as of Sunday, according to a CNBC analysis of data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

An Oxford Battalion Chief’s quick action saved a man’s life Saturday afternoon after the lift the man was on caught fire.
Oxford firefighters said at 2:50 they responded to a call at Hooligans Harley Davidson on Davis Loop to a man on a lift that had caught fire. The lift had made contact with the power lines and the man was trapped approximately 25 feet off the ground.

You would think rushing into a burning building to save the lives of people trapped inside would merit a living wage - at a minimum. While firefighters can hit salaries of anywhere from $12 to $50 an hour, according the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national average is about $27 an hour.
In the Lowcountry, that average falls to $19.

VIDEO: A home being renovated in New Castle, Lawrence County caught fire Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at the N. Mercer Street home around 5:30 a.m. Pittsburgh's Action News 4 was told a family living a few blocks away saw the glow in the sky. They woke up the next-door neighbors of the home that caught fire and got them out of their house.

Six people have been removed from their home following a house fire on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department (GBMFD), just before 4 p.m., fire crews responded to the 900 block of Greenwood Avenue for a report of a house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters say they noticed smoke and flames were coming from the front porch which was quickly knocked down upon the arrival of the first engine.

A large barn caught on fire following a welding accident Saturday afternoon.
Sun Prairie Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a barn fire located in the 7500 block of County Highway VV in the town of Bristol.
Officials arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from two sides alongside the barn. Inside the barn several bales of hay and silage were burning.

A fire at a Ft. Atkinson warehouse has finally been put out after more than 96 hours of fighting the flames.
According to a Facebook post from the City of Fort Atkinson Fire Department, fire operations at the Oak St. warehouse have been terminated.
Officials say the EPA will continue monitoring air quality for at least 24 hours and the DNR water and run-off mitigation will continue for an undetermined amount of time.

The Madison Fire Department is currently investigating a gas leak Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of State Street.
According to MFD, at around 1:13 p.m. officers were dispatched to a ‘significant’ gas leak located in Ian’s Pizza.
Around 1 p.m. employees of Ian’s Pizza called 911 to report a natural gas leak, and were in need of assistance from the fire department after being unsuccessful in turning it off themselves.
