Fire destroys all-you-can-eat restaurant in Superior

A Japanese restaurant in Superior, Wisconsin was destroyed in a devastating fire early Monday. Fire crews were called to Wasabi All You Can Eat Japanese Restaurant at 3333 Tower Ave. Monday with crews arriving to find heavy smoke coming from the rear of the building. While fire crews initially fought the blaze indoors, the deteriorating conditions forced them outside, with the fire eventually extinguished at 7:30 a.

Home total loss after Menomonie fire

No one was hurt but a home is lost after a fire early Wednesday morning. According to the battalion chief at the Menomonie Fire Department, they were called around 5:40 a.m., and remained on the scene until about 7:30 in the morning. When crews arrived, smoke and flames were visible from all sides of the structure.

New Delaware Fire Chief Makes History

Growing homeless crisis in California producing bigger impact on Sacramento firefighters

Squatters in vacant buildings are responsible for fires causing millions in damage. Metro Fire Capt. ‘A tremendous investment’: Alabama fire department receives $1.2 million fire engine

PHOTOS: The city of Opelika just added a new fire engine to its fleet. The new truck, which cost $1.2 million, is called an aerial. It’s the first of four new firetrucks that will arrive this year. The total price for all four firetrucks will be close to $3 million. Opelika Fire Chief Shane Boyd said the new aerial is a multi-purpose truck with a pump, a water tank, a water hose, an aerial device, and ground ladders.

Edgerton, Milton area launches new integrated fire-EMS department

After many months of hard work, the integrated Edgerton-Milton Fire-EMS Department launched Wednesday. The new department will serve the 25,000 residents and businesses in the greater Edgerton and Milton area, according to an announcement by the Edgerton Fire Protection District. It will service 220 square miles across Rock, Dane and Jefferson counties, notably for the cities of Edgerton and Milton and towns of Albion, Fulton, Harmony, Johnstown, Koshkonong, Lima, Milton, Porter and Sumner.

Rhinelander: Firefighting in the bitter cold temperatures

Vernon County, La Crosse County fire crews respond to house fire in Stoddard

Fire crews from multiple towns worked together to put out a house fire in Stoddard on Tuesday night. The fire was called in shortly before 6 p.m. at a house on Lake Road. When firefighters arrived to the scene, there were flames coming out of the windows of the home. Crews from Stoddard, Coon Valley, Shelby, and Genoa worked together to get the fire put out quickly enough that the house is still structurally sound.

Georgia fire explorers bring home award from national competition

Explorer Post 469, a junior firefighter program of Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services for high school students, has earned third place in a national competition, the fire department announced. The explorer post left Jan. 26 for the BSA Winterfest Competition Jan. 27 and 28 in Gatlinburg. Ohio: The First Street Fire of 1900 destroyed the city block where the Dayton Dragons stadium now stands

PHOTOS: On Feb. 1, 1900, Dayton experienced what could be the largest fire in the city’s history. The blaze started at the in the Leaf Tobacco Warehouses of J.P. Wolf & Son at the northwest corner of First and Foundry streets. Foundry ran north to south starting at First Street and cut through an area where the Dayton Dragons stadium and plaza now stand.

Madison firefighters discover smoldering fire after responding to carbon monoxide alarm

Madison Fire Department Cynthia Schuster said crews responded to a home near Gilmore and Gregory Streets around 11:20 p.m. Saturday. Schuster said homes in the area had a power surge and were without power, and many furnaces weren't working.

We are now seeing what firefighters saw as they worked to keep downtown Bedford from going up in flames on Friday. Oregon fire engine restored to preserve town's history
