United States Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad of the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that on May 10, 2023, 32-year-old Jonathan T. Lane, of Plymouth, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for arson to a building.
According to court filings, Lane admitted that on November 9, 2017, he started a fire in a small, two-story apartment building in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

One person is safe after a mobile home caught fire early this morning in Oconto County.
Fire swept through the home on Whipporwhill Lane at about 5:30. The property is about a mile off Highway 41, in the town of Pensaukee. The person who lived here got out.
The flames were out but the building was still smoking when our Action 2 News crew arrived on the scene at about 6:30 a.

A massive overnight fire in Washington Park destroyed two houses and damaged a third home. No serious injuries are being reported; however, one firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
It all happened on Portland Place, not far from Route 111 and north of I-64. Authorities told FOX 2 the two homes that were destroyed were both vacant, the third home which is damaged was occupied.

VIDEO: Public-safety and utility officials announced Wednesday that the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department will soon have another tool to keep the public safe — an agency-wide set of multi-gas detectors slated to be distributed to the city's emergency-response vehicles.

When Arlington firefighters respond to drug overdoses, they could soon start bringing along enough doses of an opioid-reversal drug to leave some behind.
This is part of a statewide effort “to prevent fatal overdoses and increase community access” to the nasal spray Narcan, one form of the reversal drug called naloxone.

On May 9, 2013, a massive truck fire erupted on the ramp of Route 22/322 in Dauphin County.
The fire caused many headaches for motorists and people around the area.
According to abc27 media partner Lancaster Online/LNP, reports said that the truck was heading northbound when it flipped over on a ramp to Route 22/322 westbound.
