5-year-old steals the show at Tennessee First Responders Salute event dressed as her firefighter uncle

But there was one 5-year-old girl who stole the show. This is Letty Willmore. She came to the First Responders event dressed up as her Uncle Chris.

New Arkansas laws meeting essential needs of firefighters as mental health struggles become more evident

VIDEO: A fire in Green Bay Wednesday morning has reportedly led to $60,000 in damage and injured two firefighters. Officials from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department tell Local 5 that they were first made aware of a fire on the 2700 block of Nicolet Drive in Green Bay at 6:58 a.m. Authorities say the fire caused an estimated $60,000 to a building that was vacant at the time of the incident.

Two charged with stealing 200-pound, historic New Jersey fire house bell

Oregon fire & rescue to receive unique golf cart in memory of former training chief

Firefighter injured responding to Beaver Dam fire

One Beaver Dam firefighter was injured Monday evening after reports of a fire in the town of Westford. The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded right after they received the call at 6:13 p.m. and requested help from multiple surrounding departments. After putting out the fire, crews searched for potential occupants in the building but they did not find anyone.

Appleton firefighters donate winter clothes to children at Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary

VIDEO: After successful donation efforts hosted by Friends of the Appleton Fire Department, Acre Realty, and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Station 5 distributed winter clothes to students at Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary School. Organizers of the donation effort told Local 5 News that they exceeded their goal, meaning they were able to donate clothes to other schools in the Appleton area as well.

La Crosse house fire still under investigation

VIDEO: The La Crosse Fire Department responded to a house fire on Saturday night. According to the LCFD, firefighters responded to the 2500 block of Harvey St. around 10:15 p.m. after hearing reports of a possible house fire. There was heavy smoke coming from the basement and the back of the home. The fire was contained to the basement area and crews were able to put it out quickly.

7 people killed after more than 150 vehicles crashed along Louisiana’s I-55 amid dense fog, officials say

VIDEO: At least seven people were killed Monday in a slew of crashes along Interstate 55 in Louisiana’s St. John the Baptist Parish that involved at least 158 vehicles, state police say. Piece of Iowa firefighting history restored

$166,000 in extra Janesville Fire Department funding would pay for overtime as crews train for paramedic

Exploding lithium batteries are causing fires in Oregon’s landfills

Lithium batteries typically aren't allowed in landfills, but many still make it into the garbage stream. Exploding lithium-ion batteries are leading to more fires in Oregon’s landfills and recycling centers, prompting action from state and local governments. Deschutes County Solid Waste Director Tim Brownell said his county’s landfill has seen 21 lithium-related fires in the past three months.
