Crews respond to bar fire in Rock County, officials say

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Crews responded to a fire at a bar in Rock County on Monday night. Lakeside Fire & Rescue say crews received a call around 7 p.m. for reports of a fire at Snuffy’s Still. Officials say the fire started in a storage shed on the deck of the bar. It is a place where patrons can go outside and smoke.

VIDEO: Three-alarm fire engulfs historic church in Missouri

A three-alarm fire engulfed a historic vacant church Monday night in St. Louis. The St. Louis Fire Department responded at around 8:45 to a fire at the former St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, located at 3114 Lismore St., in the St. Louis Place neighborhood. The building is designated as a St. Louis City Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Firefighters burn large tumbleweed piles after thousands invade Utah neighborhoods

VIDEO/PHOTOS: After thousands of tumbleweeds buried homes in Eagle Mountain, crews have been conducting controlled burns to eliminate piles of them. Unified Fire Authority conducted their second burn on Monday morning in a coordinated effort with the Eagle Mountain City Streets Department. They said it was intended to "efficiently dispose of the tumbleweeds" that accumulated along Eagle Mountain Blvd.

One person hurt after former church burns in Hixton

PHOTOS: One person was flown to a hospital with burns following a house fire in Hixton. According to Hixton Fire and Rescue, they were called to the former United Methodist Church of Hixton a little after 3 a.m. Monday morning for a fire. The former church is now used as a house. When they arrived, they found heavy flames in the ceiling and walls.

Outdoor fire danger remains high across Wisconsin

VIDEO: Potentially dangerous fire conditions continue around the state this week. Waupaca County is one of the counties in Northeast Wisconsin where the outdoor fire risk is considered very high. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reported in the past week it had to put out 72 wildfires across the state, including one in Waupaca County where our news team could see a significant amount of tall, dry brush and crunchy grass.

Oven fire causes damages to apartment in Marshfield

Friday, at 10:32 p.m., Marshfield Fire and Rescue responded with 9 personnel to a report of an oven fire with heavy smoke filling the apartment at Laurel Gardens Apartments. Residents of the apartment complex were found outside when personnel arrived. According to a Marshfield Police Officer, a fire extinguisher was used on the stone.

Driver charged with 5 counts of manslaughter in wreck with Oklahoma firetruck

VIDEOS: The driver of the car who wrecked with a Tulsa firetruck on Feb. 26 is facing five counts of manslaughter and one count of driving under the influence, according to court documents. The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. when 28-year-old Keiosha Rucker, driving a white Hyundai, pulled in front of a Tulsa fire truck that was responding with lights and sirens to a call.

Maxim fire engine celebrates 100th birthday at Massachusetts fire station

Milton woman suffers severe burns after friend pours accelerant on bonfire: ‘I was on the ground in flames’

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A 19-year-old Wisconsin woman is at home recovering after she suffered severe burns from a bonfire someone had tossed accelerant into on a night in February. Ryen Reif said she was attending her friend’s birthday party on February 12. The group had gathered around a bonfire that evening when Reif said a friend tossed lacquer thinner, an extremely volatile and flammable liquid, onto the fire.

3 families escape Green Bay apartment building fire, no one hurt

Three families were pushed from their apartments, and several pets had to be rescued from a three-unit apartment building in Green Bay. Firefighters say they responded after 2:15 a.m. for smoke coming from the building. Once they arrived, smoke and flames were spotted coming from the windows. Firefighters went inside, and it took them about 20 minutes to get this fire under control, because it was spreading through the walls.

Sheriff’s Office says furnace problem at Crandon School caused carbon monoxide issue, 39 treated

The Forest County Sheriff’s Office has released new details about an incident that sickened dozens and prompted an evacuation at the Crandon School. In all, 39 people received medical care after becoming ill. Two had elevated levels of carbon monoxide. Authorities said a mechanical issue with the furnace created elevated levels of carbon monoxide inside the school.

Arizona firefighters help driver after he almost ran them over while they played pickleball
