Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across far northern
Wisconsin during the late morning and afternoon hours on Friday.
Mild temperatures near 60 degrees, low relative humidity around
25 percent and southeast winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30
mph are anticipated. Rain showers will arrive during the late
afternoon or early evening, and bring some relief to the fire
concerns.
Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have
the potential to throw a spark and ignite a wildfire. Burning
restrictions will likely be in place, so be sure to heed any
restrictions that are in effect for your county.

PHOTOS: A pair of osprey have returned to nest atop the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company siren. Osprey have been nesting atop the siren for the past several years.
Osprey are migratory raptors that go south during the winter and live along our coast during the warmer months. Osprey also are known to mate for life, so it is likely the current pair is the same pair that have nested on the siren in previous years.
