A tornado touched down Tuesday in Adams County, Iowa, toppling several wind turbines and leaving behind a trail of damage.
The tornado touched down just northwest of Prescott around 3 p.m. Tuesday as a line of severe storms pushed into the state. KCCI's Zane Satre witnessed the storms touching down first-hand.

PHOTO: Home Depot is paying $1.3 million in fines after an investigation revealed fire code violations following an arson that burned a South San Jose store to the ground, prosecutors said.
Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen's office announced the fine against the hardware giant Monday, which followed an investigation by the DA's office and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives into the 2022 fire that destroyed the store on Blossom Hill Road.

Working smoke detectors alerted the owner of a house in the Town of Union to a fire, according to Mason Barber, Brooklyn Fire and EMS operations chief.
Firefighters were called to 16547 West Holt Road, near Brooklyn at about 5:30 a.m. Monday.
The property owner reported the fire and said there were visible flames.

PHOTO: A fire in the Town of Buffalo Saturday left four pets dead and the home a total loss.
According to a press release from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, they received two 911 calls at 4:51 p.m. Saturday for a fully engulfed home on Brandhorst Road in Buffalo.
One of the callers was a neighbor, and said they could not contact anyone inside or outside of the home.

A tank battery caught fire near Bethany on Sunday night, causing massive flames in the area.
Sky 5 flew over the scene near the Bethany water tower, and pilot Chase Rutledge said he could feel the fire from the helicopter. It wasn't clear exactly what caused the fire, but lightning from severe storms continues to strike in the area.
