The Wausau Fire Department went ahead with its pink T-shirt sale Monday for breast cancer awareness month, with a few modifications for the coronavirus pandemic.
This year, the T-shirt is actually going to be a long sleeve.
The department asked that people stay in their vehicles when they buy the shirts
We’re about 75% sold out by now, so we a lot of our members wear the shirts and bring them home for their families.

A family was able to safely escape a home fire in Germantown Monday morning, Oct. 12.
Authorities were called to Revere Lane just after 5:30 a.m. Firefighters rescued two cats from the home.
The cause remains under investigation, but officials say it appears the fire started on the deck or near foundation of the house.

More than three-quarters of FDNY employees who retired last year qualified for annual pensions exceeding $100,000 — with many awarded extra because of disabilities related to 9/11, a new study and data reveal.

Potter Fire Department was called to Phil’s Pumping and Fab. for a barn on fire, Chilton Fire Department was called to assist along with all the other Departments.
According to the Chilton Fire Department, at around 4 p.m., firefighters responded to a barn fire at Phil’s Pumping company.
Upon arrival, crews say the main barn used to store parts for their operation was fully engulfed in flames.

While battling an intentionally set fire Friday afternoon inside a city-owned abandoned building at 1801 Mead St., one Racine firefighter fell through rotten floorboards but reported they were uninjured, according to a report from the Racine Fire Department.

VIDEO: Authorities said a truck hit the Ellinwood Fire Department late Tuesday night.
The driver was heading westbound on U.S. 56 at over 100 mph. After the truck hit the building, it started on fire.
“We got the fire extinguished rather soon, and then, we had to extricate, took about 20 minutes to extricate the subject in the pickup,” said Ellinwood Fire Chief Chris Komarek.

More than a dozen individuals who traveled to Charleston this week to take the state electrician’s exam were instead arrested on federal charges alleging they are in the U.S. illegally.

Authorities in Green County are identifying the man killed in a farming accident this week.
Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud says 62-year-old John P. Marty of rural Monticello died after being pinned under a combine on Little Sugar Lane Wednesday.
The Sheriff’s Office investigation found Marty was laying in front of one of the combine’s tires while working on a piece of equipment when the combine rolled forward, pinning him underneath.

A firefighter-paramedic has died after a training incident on Wednesday morning, San Francisco Fire Department officials said.
Officials say the firefighter was at a SFFD training facility on 19th and Folsom Street when he fell three stories, causing severe head injuries.
SFFD Lt. Jonathan Baxter said the firefighter was transferred to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where he died before 11 a.
