Two people were injured Tuesday evening in a house fire.
Firefighters responded around 5 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 2900 block of West Point Road for a report of smoke coming from the residence and a person still inside, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the door.

Madison firefighters managed to knock down a blaze at an apartment building on the Isthmus Tuesday after before it could spread to other units.
Everyone was evacuated from the multi-unit home, in the 1300 block of Rutledge St., after someone spotted smoke seeping into the hallway through an apartment door, according to the Madison Fire Dept.

Two families have been displaced following a cooking fire in Sun Prairie on Monday.
A news release said officials were sent to the 2000 block of Wyoming Avenue for a report of a residential structure fire at about 5 p.m. Firefighters arrived to the scene in less than two minutes and confirmed everyone had safely evacuated the duplex.

Eight firefighters were swept into Lake Michigan during a dramatic rescue attempt late Sunday, Nov. 15, on the south pier at Pere Marquette Park.
Nine firefighters were injured. One suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.

A fire Monday afternoon in an industrial building was believed to be from a wood stove burning yard waste and garbage, something that is against City of Racine ordinances.

Two out of three public safety referendum questions to provide funding for the Elkhorn Fire Department to hire more firefighters and emergency medical services workers have been approved.

Milwaukee firefighters fought two large blazes that broke out within minutes of each other Friday afternoon.
