Firefighters are investigating after a fire damaged A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen Sunday night.
Fire crews responded around 9 p.m. to 10th and Main streets for a report of a burning smell in the area, according to Fond du Lac Fire Rescue.
Firefighters noticed a haze and found it coming from the restaurant at 417 South Main Street.

A Palm Harbor firefighter and paramedic received a hero’s welcome at a community fundraiser Saturday after she was nearly killed on the job just a few weeks ago. Lt. Ashley White, 38, was hit by a speeding pickup truck while responding to a crash in September in Palm Harbor, authorities said.
“It’s a miracle, honestly, seeing the damage to our apparatus that was done and knowing that he was driving at a high rate of speed,” she said Saturday at a fundraiser organized for her at the Tarpon Springs Elks Lodge 1719.

All lanes on I-94 eastbound near County F/Redford Boulevard in Waukesha have reopened after a semi-truck crash and fire near Goerke's Corners.
The crashed happened just after 5 a.m. Thursday.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the semi-driver hit the US 18 overpass and was ejected from his truck.

A massive fire destroyed an apartment complex on the north side early Friday morning and firefighters had a tough time putting it out. The fire broke out around 3 a.m. near Castle Hills.

Milwaukee firefighters canvassed a neighborhood Thursday, Oct. 7, checking for working smoke alarms during Fire Prevention Week.

The Merton Town Board has agreed to extend its contract for fire and emergency medical services by six months with the privately operated Merton Community Fire Department.
According to Merton Chairman Tim Klink, the contract extension will expire June 30. Klink said the goal for the town is to have a single-carrier system for fire and EMS at some point.

A cliff rescue resulted in a surprise for firefighters in Santa Barbara on Monday.
Crews were dispatched to Hope Ranch Beach around 4 p.m. after receiving reports of a person stuck on a cliff about 30 feet down.
After arriving with UTV's, a drone, fire engines and a truck, firefighters discovered the "person" in need was a hanging mannequin.
