Indiana firefighters help woman receiving double organ transplant on race to the hospital

Ohio firefighter keeps firehose out of landfills by repurposing into pet toys

A Bayfield structure fire broke out Saturday afternoon causing fire fighters to battle the blaze for about 6-7 hours The structure fire happened around 1:00pm and then started to spread to the building behind it. The building effected spanned from Rittenhouse Avenue to Mannypenny Avenue. The fire originated in a residential building which has been deemed a complete loss.

VIDEO: Fire destroys historic Chicago church

A fire that destroyed a beloved historic church in Englewood reignited overnight. Bystanders Saturday morning thought to have seen smoke coming from the church, but fire officials confirmed that it was steam from the extinguished fire. The extra-alarm fire destroyed the historic Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Good Friday afternoon.

New York City Fire Museum Opens 'Unmasking Our Heroes' Exhibition

Firefighting class in New Jersey helps first responders deal with autism

A New Jersey firefighter has started teaching classes to firefighters, and other first responders about what to do if they respond to a situation where a person, more specifically a child, is on the autism spectrum. Donald Colarusso, president of All Hands Fire Equipment and Training in Neptune City, said it's important to make first responders aware of certain encounters where a person with autism may not welcome what the firefighters would consider a routine engagement.

No Injuries, Appleton House Fire Causes Thousands of Dollars In Damages

Firefighters in Appleton say no one was injured after a small fire at a home north of downtown Appleton Sunday night. Fire department says time 'was definitely a benefit' in Manitowoc business fire

Manitowoc firefighters responded to a business fire downtown at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Smoke and a smell of burning wood were reported in a suite in a three-story building on the 900-block of S. 8th St., which is also Highway 10. People in the suite evacuated and notified people in other suites in the building about the smoke.

Beloit was among first communities to have paramedic program

Fire and rescue department in Virginia is leading the way in fitness
