A man and a boy died at the scene of an early morning apartment fire Sunday in Kenosha, according to authorities.
Kenosha Police and Fire department personnel responded to the fire just after 1 a.m. that was discovered in a building in the 4900 block of 36th Avenue, according to a release from the Kenosha Police Department.

Two individuals were taken to a local hospital after a duplex fire in Beloit Friday night.
The City of Beloit Fire Department responded to a duplex fire on the 700 block of Moore Street around 7:15 p.m. and additional fire departments from the surrounding area assisted.
Fire officials reported one resident and a responding firefighter were taken to a local hospital.

The Western Youth Fire Fighter Training Program runs into it's second year. In a joint program between the Onalaska Fire Department and Western Technical College, high school students from around the Coulee Region got hands on training Saturday morning. A class of 13 students spent time getting familiar with firefighting equipment.

Multiple agencies battled a large fire at a house in Lake Delton on Saturday night.
According to a news release from Lake Delton Police Chief Daniel Hardman, the fire at 940 Parkway Drive happened just after 9:00 p.m.
Crews arrived to find the house fully engulfed with flames.
Hardman says everyone was out of the house by the time crews arrived on scene.

The Ettrick Fire Department hosts a number of fundraisers throughout the year. Recently, they received a couple of large donations that helped them purchase hydraulic jaws of life equipment. The jaws of life are used to pry apart vehicles after a car accident in order to reach the passengers inside.
Ettrick Fire Chief Dennis Bishop said his crew has already used the new tool at a time when every second counted.

A year of preparations and negotiations has led to a new, four-year contract for firefighters with the City of Fort Worth.
The Fort Worth City Council unanimously approved the agreement on Oct. 25 following 97.4% approval of the proposal by the 970 members of the association. The agreement is the fourth collectively bargained agreement between the city and firefighters, according to the Fort Worth Professional Firefighters Association.

A fire Wednesday night, Oct. 26, caused $40,000 in damage at a home on Queens Street, according to Sun Prairie Fire Chief Chris Garrison.
At 4:07 p.m., Garrison said, Sun Prairie Fire, Police, and EMS responded to the report of a structure fire on the 200 block of Queens Street.
Garrison said the home's residents arrived home, opened the door, realized the house was filled with smoke, and called 911.

Firefighters battled a massive blaze that ripped through a three-story commercial building in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday evening.
Flames ripped through the roof of the boarded-up building located near the intersection of Los Angeles and 3rd streets. The blaze erupted just after 7:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
