Green Bay Metro Fire Department announces new Fire Chief

Matthew Knott from the Rockford (IL) Fire Department is to become the Green Bay Metro Fire Department leader after being selected by the Police and Fire Commission. According to the City of Green Bay, Knott has more than 25 years of public service in career and volunteer fire departments and law enforcement.

Pine Lake fire chief explains importance of Keep the Wreath Green campaign

Firefighters respond to large grease fire in Town of Holland storage building

A storage building caught fire from heated grease in the Town of Holland Sunday afternoon. At 2:26 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Holmen Area Fire Department say in a release that they were dispatched to N8141 Amsterdam Prairie Rd, where they found heavy smoke and fire coming from inside the building. No one was injured, but the building sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.

Christmas tree caught fire inside home near Poynette

A Christmas tree caught fire in a home near Poynette early Saturday morning. Ten people, mostly firefighters, suffered minor injuries as a five-alarm fire tore through the top floor and roof of an apartment building overnight in Hamilton Heights. Two West Metro firefighters were taken to the hospital after a reported stolen Jeep crashed into the station ambulance, Lakewood Police said. Senator: New Pennsylvania law to help attract, retain junior firefighters

Junior firefighters will now have an earlier opportunity to access the training they need to become full firefighters across Pennsylvania, state Sen. Carolyn Comitta said. Act 155 of 2022 allows junior firefighters, age 17, to train on live-burn, interior firefighter modules. Currently, only those 18 and older are allowed to enroll in this training program.

Wausau firefighters train for ice rescue situations

The exercise was part of the department's regular training regiment, in an effort to keep everyone's skills sharp and apply knowledge in a simulated event. It took place at D.C. Crews save one occupant after being trapped by fire in Sheboygan County

The Sheboygan Fire Department saved one person after being trapped on the rear porch during a Friday morning fire. According to a release, around 7:00 a.m. on December 2, the Sheboygan County 911 Center received a report of a residential structure fire on the 500 block of Geele Avenue with one person trapped.

4 dogs killed in Jackson County house fire

Four dogs were killed in a house fire in Jackson County Thursday morning. The incident happened just after 11:00 a.m. in the township of Northfield. Hixton Fire & Rescue received a report of a structure fire on Winger Rd. On scene, firefighters found a two-story home engulfed in flames. The home is a total loss.

VIDEO: Massive fire burns at Salvation Army thrift store in New Jersey

A massive fire broke out at a Salvation Army store in Union City Thursday night. Newscopter 7 was over the scene as firefighters battled the raging inferno at the Salvation Army thrift store and donation center located at 900 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. The fire devoured the roof with shooting flames that destroyed the building.
