Authorities say a Grand Chute home is destroyed after a fire. The fire started on the outside of the house on the 4300-block of Gillett St. around 7:15 Tuesday night. The flames traveled up the side to the roof and attic. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put the fire out and several more hours to take care of all the hot spots inside.

VIDEO: West Allis firefighters are battling a fire at the Morgan Grove Apartments near S. 108th Street and Morgan Avenue. The fire broke out before 5 a.m. Wednesday. Flames could be seen pouring out of the roof of one building. A firefighter has been injured and multiple stores are destroyed after a massive fire started in the Bronx late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. Officials say the flames destroyed a tire shop and flower store on the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. Video shows how large the fire was from far away, with its thick plume of black smoke rising above the flames.

North Shore firefighters battled a garage fire that spread to the attached house on N. Lydell Avenue in Whitefish Bay early Tuesday, May 30. The initial call for the fire came in around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday. When crews arrived on the scene, they found fire coming from the garage and spreading to the first floor kitchen and second floor soffit.

Engine 2802 now bears a plaque commemorating the service of Alexandria firefighter Ken Temke. Temke joined the Alexandria Fire District in 1997 as a volunteer.
