'Stork' award: Public safety recognized for help in baby's surprise home delivery in Farmington

Baby Noah Marthey squealed with delight while being held by his mother inside Farmington City Hall chambers. Maybe it was his way of thanking 10 Farmington public safety fire and police who were present during his grand entrance into the world at his Farmington home on July 23. Noah is the son of Jenae and Josh Marthey of Farmington and the new sibling to big brother, Landon, who was home to welcome his new baby brother into the family during the surprise home birth.

Fond du Lac welcomes home local firefighter

VIDEO: A special welcome home ceremony was held for a Fond du Lac firefighter Monday. Master Sergeant, Shawn Kneeland, returned home last month after his fourth active military-duty deployment. He is a part of the Wisconsin Air National Guard, 115th fighter wing, based in Madison. He was deployed in January and went to places like Mosul, Iraq and Syria.

Stevens Point firefighters go pink

Fallen firefighters honored with memorial service in Eau Claire

Oklahoma volunteer firefighters quit amid disagreement with board

Former Pennsylvania Fire Captain Sentenced In Fatal Shooting Of Junior Firefighter

California Fire Dept. SUV, ambulance, car all collide in intersection

PHOTO - Two emergency response vehicles collided with a car at Florida Street and Sonoma Boulevard on Saturday morning, sending the first-responders on board to the hospital and closing the intersection for an investigation, a spokesperson for the fire department said. At approximately 9:48 a.m., an ambulance and a fire department Ford Explorer both responding to different “code 3” emergencies with lights and sirens flashing collided and also hit a Nissan Altima, the spokesperson said.

Madison Fire Department hopes to become more diverse with new recruitment class

Mosinee fire district welcomes the community to their station

Phone scammer posing as Northern Door fire department

A Northern Door fire department has reported unauthorized use of their name as part of a telemarketing scam. A major phone scam plagued Kewaunee County over the summer, but since that time, no further scams have been reported till now. Beloit Fire Department continues to bolster its recruitment efforts
