Shed, tractor total loss after town of Oconto fire

Oconto Fire and Rescue responded Saturday evening to a shed on fire in the town of Oconto. Crews were dispatched just after 5 p.m. to to 6853 Elm Grove School Road, and found a single-story building approximately 500 feet off the road, which was fully engulfed, with its roof collapsed, according to the department.

2 apartments uninhabitable after early-morning fire, Madison officials say

Piece of Fiery Building Falls on FDNY Firefighters Battling Blaze, 2 Hurt

Commission throws out malfeasance complaint against Wisconsin fire chief

Massachusetts firefighter injured in hit and run during Nor’easter

Police are investigating after a 25-year-old male Onset firefighter was injured in a hit and run during the Nor’easter on Friday. At approximately 7 p.m., Wareham Police Department patrol officers and Wareham EMS paramedics responded to Cranberry Highway in the area of the Onset Avenue intersection to the report of an on-duty Onset Fire Department firefighter struck by a passing motor vehicle, according to a press release.

Los Angeles mayor, council members ignored 2016 report finding waste, flaws in police and fire retirement program

2 Chicago firefighters injured after ‘mayday’ call at multi-alarm blaze

Two firefighters were injured after an extra-alarm fire on Chicago's West Side Saturday morning. There was a "mayday" call at 1921 S. Building total loss in Tomah apartment fire

VIDEO: Local fire departments responded to an apartment fire in Tomah Sunday afternoon. The Tomah Fire Department arrived to the fire at 1315 Butts Ave. around 2:30 p.m. The fire fully engulfed the building and left heavy damage. No injuries were reported, but multiple cats were killed. Officials said the building, where up to 12 people live, is a total loss but a total assessment still needs to be completed.

Onalaska Fire Chief says the department will continue to thrive after his retirement

Construction worker rescued after skid loader falls in trench at Madison site

A construction worker was rescued by Madison firefighters Saturday after a machine fell into a trench. The Madison Fire Department went to the 700 block of West Dayton Street around 3:30 p.m. after a skid loader was reported to have dropped in a trench, trapping one person. The fire department said the Heavy Urban Rescue Team was called in as it has specialized tools and equipment to free people.

Fake firefighter passing out unsafe smoke detectors in Lake Geneva

A man posing as a Lake Geneva firefighter has been passing out unsafe smoke detectors while going door-to-door soliciting funds, the Lake Geneva Fire Department said Friday. The fire department was notified of the impostor Monday and the smoke detectors are not UL approved, according to a news release.

Fire destroys Kenosha garage, damages homes
