VIDEO: Local fire departments responded to an apartment fire in Tomah Sunday afternoon. The Tomah Fire Department arrived to the fire at 1315 Butts Ave. around 2:30 p.m. The fire fully engulfed the building and left heavy damage. No injuries were reported, but multiple cats were killed. A construction worker was rescued by Madison firefighters Saturday after a machine fell into a trench. The Madison Fire Department went to the 700 block of West Dayton Street around 3:30 p.m. after a skid loader was reported to have dropped in a trench, trapping one person. The fire department said the Heavy Urban Rescue Team was called in as it has specialized tools and equipment to free people.
