According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Amy K. Duley, 50, of Merrill was killed Friday in a crash in the Town of Pine River. It happened at about 9:25 p.m. Friday night on County Road W just south of Apartment Street. Duley was the driver and lone occupant of the car. She was found trapped inside and was removed by first responders.

The remains of an 84-year-old woman were found Thursday inside a home that burned near Tomahawk. A caller reported a possible structure fire southwest of Tomahawk, in the Lincoln County town of Bradley. at 12:14 p.m. Thursday, according to officials. The Kneeland Volunteer Fire Department's water tender was totaled Monday after the road beneath it collapsed, causing the vehicle to crash down an embankment. The incident occurred while the agency was responding to a structure fire on Abbey Road in Bayside.
