Firefighters in Beaver Dam were on the scene of two separate factory fires on Friday morning.
The first happened at Metalcraft of Mayville, and the second happened at the Kirsh Foundry facility less than two hours later. Fire Chief Alan Mannel said employees were evacuated at both facilities and no injuries were reported.

Oak Creek firefighter Jerry Biggart, who is part of the of the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin, wants legislators to know how critical it is to keep the mask requirement in place. First responders encounter people every day, in small, confined spaces, who need help and are not wearing masks.
“Firefighters and EMS workers are dealing with the outcome of the COVID virus and with the amount of sick people that we are seeing, we’re very concerned should anything be done to decrease the amount of masks being worn by the citizens in our state,” Biggart said in a news conference Tuesday, adding that many firefighters and EMS workers in Wisconsin have contracted COVID.

A 72-year-old man who just returned home from the hospital after battling COVID-19 died in a fire at the Burnham Hill Apartments near 29th and Mitchell in Milwaukee early Thursday, Jan. 28. More than 80 were displaced.
FOX6 News spoke with the devastated family of Nathaniel Beal, found dead in a third-floor unit where the fire started.

Six people died and 10 were injured following a liquid nitrogen leak at a food processing facility in Gainesville.
Fire crews from Hall County and Gainesville responded to a report of burns at Foundation Food Group around 10:12 a.m. When units arrived, Zach Brackett of Hall County Fire Services said they found a large group of employees that had evacuated, along with multiple people who were experiencing medical emergencies in and around the facility.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) National Response Team has been deployed to assist the Chula Vista Fire Department in the investigation into the shoe store fire that injured four firefighters Monday.
The fire broke out at around 5:40 p.m., inside the Action Footwear, at 655 H Street, according to the Chula Vista Fire Department.

Fifteen families have been affected by a Beaver Dam apartment fire Thursday night.
Dodge County dispatchers received multiple reports of a structure fire on 108 Lakecrest Drive at about 6:20 p.m., according to a news release. The residence was a two-story apartment building with 16 units.
Police first arrived to help evacuate tenants and prevent anyone from re-entering.

Aresidential home was severely damaged but nobody was injured after a fire on Hwy. 27 north of Sparta Tuesday.
According to Sparta Area Fire District chief Mike Arnold, a child who lives at the residence returned from school shortly after 4 p.m. and saw the home full of smoke. She got two dogs out of the home and called her father, who called 911.

A family of four escaped a fire at home thanks to a working smoke alarm on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
The Racine Fire Department responded to a reported stove fire in the 1600 block of Prospect Street shortly before 1:30 p.m.

A fiery crash between a pickup truck and an antique Chevrolet was captured on camera on Sunday near Atlantic City, New Jersey.
According to Galloway Township police, a Ford F-150 pickup truck hit the back of a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air about 8 p.m.
Footage from multiple security cameras and broadcast on NBC News Philadelphia showed the antique vehicle burst into flames.
