An 18-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested early Saturday morning after biting and spitting on police officers and emergency personnel in an ambulance, a Manitowoc police press release said. According to the release, police responded to a call at 3:41 a.m. Saturday of an 18-year-old man "acting irrationally" and possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

An early-morning building fire heavily damaged the Kenosha Education Association building and shut down several streets in the adjacent neighborhood.
Firefighters were called to the building, at 5610 55th St., at around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning. Most of the flames had been extinguished by 6:00 a.m. The Kenosha Education Association is home of the local teacher's union, which represents teachers and other school staff in the Kenosha Unified School District.

"The swarm was located on two branches in the tree, so we had a couple go out there and they determined it wasn't an immediate safety concern," he said.

One person was flown to a hospital after being burned in a tractor fire Thursday night in Stevens Point. The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. near Windy Drive, according to Stevens Point Fire Capt. J.B. Moody. The tractor was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, but the fire was extinguished quickly.

An Akron man is accused of killing nine people in two deadly house fires in his neighborhood.
Now, prosecutors say, Stanley Ford should pay with his life.
Summit County prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Ford, they announced Thursday during a press conference.

A vehicle fire that spread to a garage caused thousands of dollars in damage to a west Madison home Thursday, officials said. The Madison Fire Department said crews responded to a report of a fire at 12:18 p.m. in the 2900 block of Maple Run Drive.
