Authorities say a crash took a scary turn for first responders in the west Valley when the driver involved in the crash started shooting at them.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened after a woman crashed her car in a desert area near Perryville Road and Olive Avenue on Sunday night.

Two Hanover firefighters and another driver were taken to the hospital after a crash early Tuesday morning, according to 9NEWS sister station KOAA.
A van was swept into a sinkhole near Old Pueblo Rd and Birdsall Rd in Fountain around 2:30 in the morning. The driver of the van left the scene but minutes later, another car was swept away, KOAA reported.

A late night grease fire left three people without a home Monday. The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says says an adult and two children were at their home on 12th avenue in Green Bay when the fire started. Officials say the fire started in the kitchen. When they arrived on scene firefighters put out the fire, but it had already extended into cabinets and the ceiling.

VIDEO: A fire started around 8:00 p.m. Monday at a home on Blackberry Court. Three people were inside when the fire started and all got out safely. Firefighters were able to put the flames out quickly, containing it to the garage. Officials have a preliminary idea of what caused the blaze. A firefighter has died after battling a house fire in Clarksville early Monday morning, the Howard County Fire Department said.
The firefighter, who was identified by the Maryland Secretary of State’s office as Nathan Flynn, fell through the floor while fighting a seven-alarm blaze on the 7000 block of Woodscape Drive.

Firefighters said two South Pierce firefighters risked their lives to save a young girl with special needs from a burning home in Graham on Friday.
The girl later passed away at the hospital.

The man who sparked a fierce gun battle and a long standoff with police at a Trader Joe’s in Silver Lake surrendered early Saturday evening after his rampage left one woman dead and at least two wounded.

A community backing their firefighter, with a benefit for Ryan Welch -- the firefighter who was hurt in the explosion in Sun Prairie. A group of girls who had never met him came up with the idea of a fundraiser for Welch's family, which was held Friday night at Callahan's Sports Pub in Madison.
