Green Bay man dead after tractor caught fire, rolled into power lines in Luxemburg

A 54-year-old Green Bay man died after the tractor he was driving caught fire Saturday morning. First responders were called around 12:55 a.m. Saturday to Tonet Road, north of County Road K, in Luxemburg for a report of a tractor on fire that had rolled into the power lines, according to the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department.

Firefighters rescued a one-year-old child from a house fire on Green Bay's east side. Emergency crews were called to the 2500 block of Wisconsin Ave. at around 7:30 a.m. Friday. That is just off of East Shore Drive, along the shore of Green Bay. Firefighters received a report of a child trapped inside the home.

New Jersey first responders who volunteered at Ground Zero could get accidental disability pensions

California's largest wildland fire started by hammer sparks

Menomonee Falls Firefighter Union says no engines were in service at one point Wednesday

Eagle River firefighter with 61 years of service passes away

A long-time Eagle River volunteer firefighter has passed away. Jack Thomas worked with the department for 61 years. In a Facebook post, the Eagle River Fire Department thanked him for his service. He was also an integral part of building ice castles each winter. Thomas was a fire chief for 18 years of that service.

New Jersey paramedic fired for performing Reiki on patient wins $90,000 verdict

The paramedic faced a dilemma. After responding to the home of a woman with an open wound in February 2016, he was ordered by a doctor back at the hospital to drill a catheter into her arm. But the woman, a believer in alternative medicine, refused the treatment. California: Motorcyclist killed in crash with fire engine, 3 firefighters hurt

Alabama: New partnership puts physicians in city ambulances to assist beach residents

The closest hospital to Alabama’s beaches is in Foley, which “can seem like an eternity” during an emergency along congested Alabama State Route 59. The trip is especially treacherous on summer weekends, when tens of thousands of motorists converge upon or leave the Gulf Coast. The state’s transportation director recently called it a “dangerous situation,” prompting him to elevate a new Intracoastal Waterway bridge atop the list of road construction priorities in Alabama.
