New CPR machine changing how Stevens Point paramedics save lives

VIDEO: A new CPR device is changing the way paramedics in Stevens Point save lives. Its called Lucas CPR, a machine that acts as a another set of hands doing chest compressions. It does 100-104 compressions per minute. The machine costs about $15,000. It was donated to the Stevens Point Fire Department recently.

Crews respond to Uptown Racine fire

About $3,000 damage resulted from a fire Tuesday morning at a commercial building in the Uptown area. The fire, which was reported at about 9:15 a.m., originated on the second floor of the building at 1232 Washington Ave. on pallets holding folded cardboard, Racine Fire Department Lt. Mike Moss said.

No charges filed against driver in firetruck rollover crash that killed California firefighter

Collective bargaining fight rages at Iowa Capitol

Family of five homeless after fire guts Portage home

Milwaukee firefighters respond to house fire; Fire Department squad involved in crash

Firefighters on Tuesday evening, February 14th responded to a fire at a home near Fond du Lac and Mill. It happened around 6:00 p.m. Crews found fire on the home’s second floor. FOX6 News was told one person was hurt after she jumped from a second-story window. She was taken to the hospital with an ankle injury.

Jacksonport fire station renovation planned

Requests for bids for construction of additions to the Jacksonport Town Hall and Fire Department were released to contractors after Town Board approval of final plans for the project last week. Connecticut firefighter candidate sues city for disability discrimination over high blood pressure

A city resident, who was rejected as a firefighter because he has high blood pressure, has filed a $500,000 federal discrimination lawsuit against the city. Idaho fire chief 'outraged' over decision on fireworks bill

Boise Fire Chief Dennis Doan said he is outraged after the House State Affairs Committee voted, 6-9, on Monday not to move forward with legislation that would close a fireworks loophole in Idaho. Meridian Fire Chief Mark Niemeyer also echoed Doan’s concerns in a statement released Monday afternoon, and Nampa Fire Chief Phil Roberts has also stated in the past he is among those in favor of banning the sale of aerial fireworks.

Texas Bill would let firefighters, EMTs carry guns on duty

Wisconsin fire chiefs urge governor to make code changes

Arson fire displaces Milwaukee family, police looking for answers
