A Milwaukee firefighter was hurt late Tuesday night while responding to a fire near 35th and Hadley.
According to the department, crews were responding to a fire in a vacant house when a firefighter fell through a hole in the floor.
The firefighter had minor injuries, was treated and is expected to return to work.

Nearly eight decades later, the Fire Department is remembering 13 firefighters who died in the line of duty.

City officials are refuting the claims made by Nora Powell and her attorney that the city's plans to fund ambulance service would breach the terms of the interlocal fire protection agreement.
